It's Definitely Tim Burton-y

Anyone else a little sad that Tim Burton has such a hard-on for CGI these days? The magic of Edward Scissorhands and Beetlejuice was that they were surreal and dark with a minimum of film fakery.

I'm not saying I won't go see it, but I think the live action Alice in Wonderland standard was set with the 1985 made for TV. You know, the one where Carol Channing turns into that freaky-ass goat.

I'm more sad that he has a Hard-on for Johnny Depp - don't get me wrong, I am a long time secret lover of the Depp, but he is getting kind of played out for me in these roles. I would like to see perhaps some younger quirkier handsome fellow, then maybe he wouldn't have had to rehash the story and make Alice into a 17 year old so Johnny doesn't look so old - haha! J/K, not sure why they did it that way, but whatev - maybe so Alice's dress could hang off of her sexy style...i
